Enrollment Information

The VCU Child Development Center is open year round child care. The majority of our enrollment opportunities come available between June-August. Vacancies come available during the summer as our outgoing Kindergarten students withdraw. Actively enrolled children are then moved into their next age-appropriate classroom in waves to fill open vacancies. If a vacancy occurs during either the months of September-May or throughout the summer, waitlisted families are offered enrollment in order of when they submitted their request. 

If you are looking for immediate or future enrollment, call the center directly at (804) 828-7377 to learn of expected wait times. For enrollment interest more than 3 months away, the center now accepts a security deposit to reserve your child's vacancy! This security deposit amounts to 50% of your current tuition rate plus a $100 early enrollment fee.

The waitlist may close when the center enrollment period has an expected wait time of over 12 months. Our waitlist is open as of September 2026.
