Child Development Center under new leadership

VCU's Child Development Center is happy to announce Dr. Thomas Beatty is now our interim director. Dr. Beatty brings more than 20 years of experience of instructional leadership to his role, as well as an Ed.D. in educational policy, planning and leadership.

Far more than just a daycare, the CDC is a full-day, inclusive young children's program that provides high-quality care and education for the children of VCU faculty, staff and student families.

Our unique relationship with the School of Education allows us to serve as a learning lab for student pre-service experiences, faculty research, community outreach and education.

Now accepting applications

On that note, the CDC is now accepting applications for new students. For more information, including cost and sign-up information, visit our enrollment page.

The Child Development Center (CDC) at VCU is accredited by The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). In the video above, you will see a sampling of the interaction of the children with our staff. We are proud to offer a safe, nurturing and responsive environment for the children at CDC.
